Warning: The N8013UECLK8 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware is for Galaxy Note 10.1 with model number N8013 only. Please check the model of you device before flashing: go Settings => About phone.

Reminders

  1. Fully-charge your device?s battery before flashing, or make sure it has at least 80% battery left.
  2. Backup EFS folder.
  3. Enable USB Debugging.
  4. Your devices should be rooted prior to doing this tutorial.
  5. The ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) should be installed because it will be used to flash the firmware.
  6. Make sure all necessary USB drivers are installed so the device can be detected without problems.

Tutorial

Step 1: Connect your Galaxy Note 10.1 to your computer using the original USB data cable. Make sure the device is properly detected before you proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Download the update (N8013-UECIK8-ARCLK8-XAR-deodexed.zip) into the root directory of your device?s internal memory, or, you can download it to your computer and copy the package to your device, whichever your prefer. You don?t need to extract it because CWM needs it intact and zipped.

Step 3: Once downloaded/copied the package into your device, you can now disconnect it from your computer and turn it off.

Step 4: Boot your device into ClockworkMod Recovery mode: press and hold VOLUME UP? and POWER buttons together until CWM screen appears. You can use volume buttons to navigate through each option and power button to select.

Step 5: So that you can revert to your current firmware if things go bad, it is advisable you make a Nandroid backup of your current ROM: choose option Backup and Restore => Backup.

Step 6: Going back to the main recovery menu, choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset => Yes to perform full data wipe. It may take a few minutes to complete.

Step 7: After the full data wipe, you are now ready to flash the pre-rooted firmware: choose Install zip from SD card => Choose zip from SD card and browse through your device?s internal memory and find N8013-UECIK8-ARCLK8-XAR-deodexed.zip file. Confirm your action by choosing Yes in the next screen.

Step 8: It is recommended you perform full data wipe again after the firmware is flashed into your device. Follow step 7.

Step 9: You may now reboot your device by selecting Reboot System Now from the main menu. Your device will boot longer than usual this time but the next time you reboot it would be like before. So, you need to wait a little longer.
